Our Story
Todd Shively began selling seed in Buckley, Illinois, 25 years ago. Five years into his career, the retirement of a fellow sales representative presented Todd with the opportunity to form his own agency.
With his reputation as an established, trusted seed advisor, his agency quickly grew. In order to continue providing superior service, he renovated the small barn used to store seed and built the first bulk soybean seed site in East Central Illinois in 2008. In 2016, Todd decided it was time to take his agency to the next level by building a new warehouse and office complex with a state-of-the-art treating system. Todd joined forces with Brian Dippel to form NextGen Ag Service.
Brian previously worked for Syngenta Seeds in trait integration discovery research and for Pioneer as a production technician and research associate. In 2014, he pursued his own Certified Services Agency and worked with growers on nitrogen management plans, soil sampling, and fertility plans.
By joining forces, these two ag experts were able to bring the first full-service crop management and seed agency to the area.
